Alexa Hernandez is a ceramicist from Laredo, Texas. She received a BA in Communications and a Studio Art Minor from Texas A&M International University. Drawing inspiration from antique patchwork quilts and pictorial needlework art, Alexa makes functional ceramics that are colored with a constellation of mix-match and wonky patterns. She has completed internships at Women’s Studio Workshop and Penland School of Craft. Alexa is currently a Flower Bud resident at Flower Shop Art Studio in Brownsville, Texas.
